Inn Policies

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Our top priority is the health and safety of everyone on property and have updated our policies to provide a safe, comfortable, and clean experience:

  • Masks are required (for all guests not fully vaccinated) in all indoor public spaces except when drinking or dining. Complimentary face masks are available upon request.
  • Housekeeping service has been temporarily suspended during guest stays. Fresh linens and trash removal are available upon request.

PAYMENTS & TAXES

All reservations must be paid in full at time of booking. All major credit cards are accepted. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

Taxes include Virginia Sales Tax (5.3%) and Town of Washington Lodging Tax (2.5%)

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to arrival will result in a refund of the deposit less a $25 service charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are fully non-refundable. If you fail to show up for your reservation you will be charged for your entire stay. Please note there is no special cancellation policy due to COVID-19, our standard cancellation policy is in effect. All cancellation requests must be sent to reservations@whitemooseinn.com or by calling 540-675-3207. Cancellations are not final until confirmed as received by our team.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check in is available from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Late check-in is available upon request. Check out time for guests and cars is 11:00 AM.

PARKING

Parking is available for guests in the gravel lot located directly behind the main house. Private spaces for The Cottage and Villa Mountain Premier are located directly next to each room. Overflow parking is available in the grass lot across Piedmont Avenue. The White Moose Inn assumes no responsibility for theft or damage to your vehicle on our premises.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Our minimum age for all guests is 18 years old. Contact us directly for more information.

PET POLICY

The White Moose Inn is a completely pet-free property. Contact us directly for information regarding service animal exceptions.

SMOKING POLICY

The White Moose Inn is a 100% smoke-free property (indoors and outdoors). For your safety and those of others, candles and any other sources of open flames are not permitted in the guestrooms. Any guests violating the non-smoking or open flame policy will be charged an additional $250 fee and will be held responsible for any specialty cleaning costs or damages to the property.

GUEST PACKAGES

We are able to accept packages delivered via FedEx and UPS. Due to our remote area, we are unable to receive any guest packages via USPS. Please notify us of incoming packages by emailing info@whitemooseinn.com or calling 540-275-3207.
